Erika is Of Counsel for Sommer & O’Donnell, LLC in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she represents clients in protection from abuse actions, juvenile delinquency and dependency matters, child abuse expunction appeals, as well as Estate planning and Estate Administration, which includes representing clients in the area of wills, living wills, powers of attorney, guardianship and estate litigation. Erika is a Hearing Officer for delinquency and dependency matters in Dauphin County.
Erika is also appointed by the Court to act as a Guardian Ad Litem for Children in Custody matters.
Erika is a graduate of West Chester University of PA. She earned her Juris Doctor at the Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. While in law school, Erika was a certified legal intern at the Dauphin County District Attorney’s office writing appeals and litigating minor criminal judge trials.
Upon graduation from law school, Erika began work at the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office. While there, she was able to litigate numerous cases before judges and juries, spending the majority of her time representing juveniles charged with crimes.
After her time at the Public Defender’s Office, Erika went on to expand her practice area to family matters, including divorce, custody, support, protections from abuse, and juvenile dependency.
Erika currently serves on the Board of Directors for Dauphin County Victim/Witness.
Erika is a native of Central Pennsylvania, graduating from Bishop McDevitt High School and currently residing in Harrisburg. In her free time, Erika enjoys traveling with her family, doing Pilates and reading.
